Divisions (Grade as of January 2025):

*Kindergarten

*1st/2nd Grade Combined

*3rd/4th Grade Combined

*5th/6th Grade Combined

*Players may choose to play up a grade but cannot play down for any reason.*

All divisions are CO-ED

Registration - Registration will be open from December 31, 2024, through  February 14, 2025, at 11:59 pm.  To be considered “registered,” a player must have completed registration in the TeamSnap system through the provided 2025 Flag Football TeamSnap link and paid all registration fees in full.  Any previous Chesterland Lions Club football player must have returned all equipment/uniform items and paid all fees to register for flag football. 

 TeamSnap will be our official Team Management platform. All families and coaches participating in the league will be required to download TeamSnap to manage scheduling, RSVPs, and team communication. 

1. Tentative Schedule -  Each team will play 6 regular season games followed by a play-off/championship weekend.  All teams will have some weekends that include double headers.  Our season will tentatively run mid March through early May.  
2. Location - Games will be scheduled on the West Geauga High School fields.  Games will be scheduled on Saturdays/Sundays depending on field availability at the high school. *Make-up games may be scheduled during the week based on team and referee availability.*
3. Game Uniforms - Game jerseys and shorts will be provided for every player and are required to be worn during all scheduled games. Game shorts will be pocketless for the safety of the players to reduce the possibility of injuries to players' hands or fingers.  Flags will be provided for every player as part of their uniform.  Players are responsible for purchasing their own mouthguards for the season. 

*Any player who loses any part of their uniform (jersey, shorts, flags) will be required to pay a replacement fee.  Players will be unable to play until replacement items have arrived.  There will be no refund for lost playing time due to needing replacement items.*

Registration Rules to Consider before Signing Up

1) No player will be placed on a team until the registration fee is PAID.

2) Players are permitted to only play for one team and may not play down a division. Any player requesting to play up should email chesterlandlionsclubfootball@gmail.com.  Requests to play up will be approved on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability on the teams in the older division.

3) Any form of false information submitted to change a player's division will result in expulsion from the league with NO REFUND.
3) Coaches can email  Chesterlandlionsclubfootball@gmail.com to request their team. Coaches need to be sure that every player they request is registered and paid in full with the league. If multiple coaches were to request a player, the parents would be notified and instructed to pick one team.

-Teams should consist of no more than 10 players and no less than 7 players. Exceptions to these requirements may only be made by league officials in order to balance team numbers on a case-by-case basis and ensure there is roster space for all interested players to play. 

-Coach requests will be given preference, but no guarantees can be made regarding team assignments. Team assignments may be adjusted to ensure enough players are rostered to each team to meet league requirements.

4) Refund Policy: Parents will need to email  Chesterlandlionsclubfootball@gmail.com to request cancellation.

Requests made before March 1st - 80% refund

Requests made March 1st - March 14th - 50% refund

 If there is a request for cancellation after March 14th you will forfeit all of your registration fee paid - NO Refund will be given starting March 15, 2025. 

*If the season is canceled before or during the session due to any type of natural disaster, local or national pandemic, or emergency, the League will issue an appropriate refund.

*Please note that the surcharge is NOT part of our League's fee. It is a third-party servicing fee charged by the registration website.
